Phone calls have so far led to service reps who blame the SD Card (I tried several, the main ones exceed GoPros minimum standards), tell me to update the firmware (it came with the newest firmware.) and will e-mail further troubleshooting. I've tried IM dozens of times to always be met with a "Try again later" message with no queue system or when to try again later. After 30 days you can no longer return it via amazon (I was under the impression returns were open the length of the warranty, my fault there I guess), you have to call or IM GoPro during business hours only. It'd be nice if I could return it or contact GoPro in any reasonable manner. Through in the fact that the camera does not connect to any computer that I've tried it on (3 operating systems across 4 computers is a pretty good sample, yeah?) and I reckon I've got a faulty GoPro. By the end of recording even short sessions it was worryingly hot to touch as well. It regularly shut down by itself, took tens of seconds to start recording at times and frequently froze. Delts28īought the camera primarily for creating a timelapse of a roadtrip for which it failed spectacularly. For an action camera though I was shocked at how easily it is cosmetically damaged though. It's not fit for purpose and getting help is next to impossible. Also, after a single drop from hip height onto tarmac my unit has several paint scrapes and a couple of dents in the metal exterior. If I get a fix for my unit I'll update the review but as it is I can't give it more than a single star. Considering the hype around them I expected far better. I've probably gotten a faulty unit but GoPro are a complete pain to communicate with. Which is where I'm currently at, waiting on the troubleshooting e-mail.The camera I have is laggy, buggy and unconnectable to PC. #Gopro hero session 1 Bluetooth
Then try again - wake the GoPro up and get to app wifi pairing - then pair, change name and connect via the iPhone bluetooth listI actually sent the first one of these back as the Amazon expert said it may be malfunctioning but the above worked for me.

As the app is reinstalling (reset the GoPro's wifi settings - not sure if this helped but was more so just to cover it)5. Then delete the GoPro app from your phone3. If it fails to change name in set up (on bluetooth device list) - Press forget this device on the gopro listed on your phone2. The fix was actually deleting the GoPro app on my iPhone and then when I reinstalled it and tried again it worked1.

I reset the wifi and also removed all items from my bluetooth list on my phone. It would initially pair up but then when I changed the name of the camera to "mysession1" in the bluetooth devices list on my phone it would not update the name and therefore was unable to connect. This is a must read for those who have connection issues when they first receive this item.I first switched it on and tried to pair with my iPhone.
